ILOILO CITY – Public school teacher Jocelyn G. Garbosa of Capiz province is one of the country’s outstanding public servants.
Garbosa of Roxas Farm School in Tapaz town is one of the awardees of the Gawad Dangal ng Bayan by the Civil Service Commission (CSC).
She received a gold-gilded medallion, a trophy, and a cash prize from Executive Secretary Ralph Recto, who represented President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., during awarding rites in Malacañang on Wednesday, Jan. 28.
“Her outstanding dedication, exemplary service, and commitment to education have brought pride not only to her school but also to the entire Tapaz community,” said the local government unit (LGU) of Tapaz.
“We celebrate her remarkable achievement and honor her as a shining example of excellence in public service,” Tapaz LGU added.
Garbosa was recognized for her work in turning a former extension campus of a national high school into a full-pledged farm school in 2021.
The Capiz Schools Division and Department of Education (DepEd)-Western Visayas also lauded Garbosa.
