Supermarket fire in Novaliches, QC raised to fifth alarm

A fire broke out at a supermarket along Belfast Avenue corner Quirino Highway in Barangay Pasong Putik, Novaliches, Quezon City, on Wednesday, Jan. 28.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started at around 4:44 a.m. and was raised to the second alarm at 4:46 a.m.
The blaze escalated to the third alarm at 4:55 a.m. before reaching the fourth alarm at 5:05 a.m.
It was later raised to the fifth alarm at 6:16 a.m.
Firefighters were able to place the fire under control at around 7:59 a.m.
As of this writing, no injuries have been reported.
Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
