PRO-1 nets 2,766 loose guns in 2025

LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Police Regional Office-1 recovered 2,766 loose firearms in the Ilocos region in 2025.
PRO-1 carried out 386 operations leading to the arrest of 407 individuals for firearms law violations from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31
The province of Pangasinan had the highest number of confiscated firearms.
Police Brig. Gen. Dindo R. Reyes, PRO-1 chief, credited their achievement to the dedication of police personnel, strong coordination with local government units and partner agencies, and continued public support.
“The sustained campaign against loose firearms remains a key priority to prevent crime and protect communities. PRO-1 remains committed to sustaining intensified operations against loose firearms and urges the public to comply with firearms laws to help maintain peace, order, and safety throughout Region 1.”
