K-pop boy band ONF and their agency have parted ways but the group will continue their career.
ONF debuted in 2017 and the members are of Hyojin, Seungjun, Wyatt, Minkyun, E-Tion, and U.
Korean agency WM Entertainment issued a notice on Jan. 27 to announce that ONF’s exclusive contract will be terminated on Jan. 29.
“First, we would like to express our gratitude to the many Fuse [fandom] members who have shown love and support for ONF,” it said.
It added, “After extensive discussions, ONF and our company have agreed to terminate their exclusive contract as of the 29th. While this marks the end of the eight-year journey that ONF and our company have walked together, the six members will continue group activities under the name ‘ONF.’"
“Therefore, our company will continue to cooperate and support ONF's activities even after the contract ends. We look forward to the new narrative and brilliant journey that ONF will create in the future, and we express our applause and gratitude to the members,” it said.
The agency added, “We hope that Fuse members will be with ONF every step of the way, and we will also always support the members' rise with a heart of support. We ask for your continued interest and love.”
ONF released the album “Unbroken” last November and held their concert “The Map: Beyond the Horizon” last Jan. 10 and 11 in Seoul.
