CWC celebrates design, community, and a 35-year legacy
The numbers one and 35 are of special significance this year to businessman Fred Yuson and his CWC Design Center. The design center on Arnaiz Road, Makati, is home to CWC Interiors, with the building’s floors dedicated to showroom areas for the various prestige and luxury furniture brands that CWC represents in the Philippines. These include, but are not limited to, Herman Miller, Vitra, Walter Knoll, Magis, Artek, ShawContract, JEB, USM, Knoll, Cappellini, Hay, Dedon, Janus et Cie, and NaughtOne.
Fred, Stefanie, Sarah, and Shaun Yuson
As for those numbers, “one” marks the first anniversary of the design center, which has rapidly become a creative and social hub for Fred’s various businesses, advocacies, and activities. Among these are the Camera Club of the Philippines, La Salle in the UAAP, Mutya ng Pilipinas, and regular talks on Sustainability and Design.
As for “35,” October 2026 will mark 35 years of Fred and CWC. It is also nice to see that succession is already in place, with his children, Shaun and Stefanie, engaged in the business—something both Fred and Sarah are proud of.
There is legacy-building happening at CWC, and it dovetails with how Shaun has highlighted their dedication to sustainability. A new CWC brand focuses on giving iconic furniture pieces a new lease on life by recycling, redesigning, and making them viable for a new generation.
