Police arrested two men listed as most wanted persons in Muntinlupa on Jan. 26.
The Southern Police District's District Mobile Force Battalion arrested a man identified as alias Pilok, 30, at his residence in Barangay Buli, Muntinlupa.
Pilok was convicted of violating Section 31 of Republic Act No. 10591 or absence of permit to carry outside of residence.
He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest for service of sentence issued on Oct. 27 last year by Presiding Judge Abraham Joseph Alcantara of the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 204.
The man was listed as the No. 10 most wanted person of the Muntinlupa police for January.
Following his arrest, he was brought to the Muntinlupa police's custodial facility for temporary detention pending the return of the warrant to the court.
Meanwhile, the Muntinlupa police arrested a suspect, identified as alias Raymond, 38, in Barangay Poblacion.
The suspect was tagged as the No. 9 most wanted person (station level) for January.
The bench warrant was issued by the Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 256 for violation of Section 11 (possession of dangerous drugs) of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
After his arrest, the suspect was brought to the Laguerta Health Center in Barangay Tunasan for medical and physical examination before being turned over to the Muntinlupa police's custodial facility.
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, district director of the Southern Police District, said the operation reflects the district’s sustained efforts to locate and arrest wanted persons, particularly those involved in illegal drugs, to protect public safety and uphold the rule of law.
