Police arrested a 19-year-old who is facing a statutory rape case in Taguig City.
The suspect, alias Brielle, a resident of Barangay New Lower Bicutan, was tagged as Taguig police's the No.3 most wanted person.
He was nabbed based on a warrant of arrest for a case of statutory rape under the Revised Penal Code as amended by Republic Act 11648 and Republic Act 8353.
The warrant was issued on Aug. 8 last year by Presiding Judge Byron San Pedro of the Taguig Family Court Branch 15. No bail was recommended.
The suspect underwent medical examinations at the Taguig City Health Office and was placed under police custody.
"The arrest of one of Taguig City’s Top 3 Most Wanted sends a clear message: those who commit serious crimes will be held accountable. We will continue to pursue all offenders to ensure justice is served and our communities are protected,” said Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, director of the Southern Police District.
