The Manila Police District arrested two men after a heated argument between neighbors escalated into a stabbing incident in Purok 4, Isla Puting Bato, Tondo, Manila.
Police identified one of the suspects as alias “Ron,” a resident of the area, who was apprehended with the help of community members and Barangay 20 officials.
The second suspect, identified as “Alex,” 38, was placed under police guard while receiving treatment at a hospital.
According to MPD Station 12, the incident stemmed from a heated argument between the victim and the suspects.
The incident occurred at around 2 p.m. while the victim was repairing a water pipe when Alex allegedly approached him, triggering an argument.
Alex later returned with Ron, and the confrontation resumed.
Ron allegedly stabbed the victim in the back, while Alex stabbed him in the chest.
The victim reportedly fought back, resulting in Alex being accidentally stabbed during the struggle.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, while Alex remained under police custody at Jose Abad Santos General Hospital.
Both suspects are facing charges of frustrated murder, police said.
