Bloomberry debuts Gioco Arcade lineup to boost megaFUNalo! engagement
Bloomberry Resorts Corp., the operator behind Solaire Resort Entertainment City, is pivoting toward localized digital content to capture a larger slice of the country’s domestic gaming market.
The company’s online arm, megaFUNalo!, announced the debut of Gioco Arcade, a suite of digital games specifically designed with Philippine cultural motifs to differentiate its offerings from generic international competitors.
The move comes as offshore gaming operators face increased scrutiny, prompting legitimate, Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.-licensed (Pagcor) platforms like Bloomberry’s to aggressively expand their footprint among local users.
By integrating Filipino-themed aesthetics, Bloomberry aims to capitalize on a growing preference for interactive gaming that resonates with national identity while maintaining the regulatory rigor required by Pagcor.
The Gioco Arcade lineup launched with titles that lean heavily into daily Philippine life. Among the flagship offerings is Jeepney Go, a fast-paced game inspired by the country’s ubiquitous public transport vehicles.
Another title, Cash Cash Fiesta, utilizes the vibrant palettes and imagery associated with provincial street festivals. Cyrus Sherafat, Executive Vice President and Head of Gaming at megaFUNalo!, characterized the strategy as an attempt to bridge the gap between high-tech digital entertainment and traditional Filipino sensibilities.
The company plans to sustain this momentum with the upcoming release of Tuktuk Gold and Slice n Go, which are expected to broaden the diversity of the Gioco Arcade portfolio. Bloomberry’s leadership views the initiative not merely as a product launch but as a branding exercise to position megaFUNalo! as a champion of homegrown creative expression.
By scaling these local concepts within a regulated framework, the company seeks to provide a secure alternative to the unregulated “grey market” platforms that have historically dominated the region.
While the Philippine gaming industry has faced headwinds from shifting government policies, Bloomberry's investment in proprietary, themed content suggests a long-term confidence in the digital vertical.
The company stated that the integration of culturally resonant themes is a key pillar in its strategy to meet international standards of performance while maintaining a distinct local competitive advantage.
