The International Shrine of the Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, otherwise known as the Antipolo Cathedral, celebrated its second anniversary as an international shrine with activities that gathered hundreds of devotees and parishioners from different parishes in the Diocese of Antipolo.
A grand procession of the original image of the Seven pontifically crowned Virgin Mary from seven parishes was held in the vicinity of the Antipolo Cathedral on Saturday drawing hundreds of devotees from different parishes where the Marian image came from.
Leading the procession was the Nuestra Señora delos Angeles or the Our Lady of the Angels, and also known as the Our Lady of Laguna Lake, the newest pontifically crowned Marian image from Pilapila, Binangonan.

On Monday afternoon, a Holy Mass was also held as part of the celebration of the cathedral’s anniversary that was followed by a thanksgiving food distribution to the less fortunate.

Antipolo Bishop Ruperto C. Santos, who also serves as the parish priest of the Antipolo's international shrine, officiated a 5 p.m. solemn mass on Jan. 26 which was followed by a feeding activity.
In his homily, Bishop Santos urged the devotees to offer the faithful's devotion to God.

When we give Him our patience, our forgiveness, our compassion, and our willingness to be transformed, our lives become a fragrant offering pleasing to the Lord," the bishop said.
The Antipolo Cathedral officially became an international shrine on January 26, 2024 following a Papal decree.
