Meralco's wire-clearing operation continues in two Pasay communities

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) has extended its wire-clearing operations in two communities in Pasay City due to the overlapping of electricity and telecommunication lines in the area.
Meralco, in coordination with the Pasay City government, extended the activity from January 24 to January 31 in Barangays 164 and 165.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the operation is part of the city’s Anti-Urban Blight and Anti-Dangling Wire Clearing Operations, aimed at improving public safety and urban order.
Rubiano advised residents and motorists in the affected barangays to expect possible traffic disruptions during the clearing period.
She also encouraged the public to cooperate with authorities to help promote safety, enhance urban aesthetics, and prevent potential electrical hazards.
