Andre Yllana cheers on mom Aiko Melendez's new romance: 'If they're happy, enjoy!'

Rising star Andre Yllana is all smiles as he gives a big thumbs up to his mom, Aiko Melendez’s blossoming romance with actor Onemig Bondoc.

"Enjoy," said Andre when asked about the rumors during the media conference of the upcoming Viva One series Hell University held at Viva Cafe in Araneta City recently.

Andre added, "Mukha naman po silang masaya. So kung masaya naman po sila, enjoy po. (They look happy. So if they're happy, enjoy.)"

When asked if he and Onemig were close, Andre answered, "Pwede na po. (Yes, we can.)"

Andre, a contract star with Viva Artist Agency, also said he would love to work with Onemig on future projects. "Sure po. Why not?"

It would be recalled that Onemig courted Aiko 29 years ago. But it seems they were not meant for each other at that time.

Aiko married actor Jomari Yllana in 2000. They separated about one year after their marriage. In 2005, their marriage was finally annulled.

In 2006, Aiko married her second husband, Martin Jickain. Then they split. Their marriage was annulled in 2010.

Andre expressed gratitude to his parents for their support.

"Si mommy very supportive po. Palaging nagtatanong, 'Kumusta yung set? Kumusta yung mga eksena? (Mommy is very supportive. She always asks, 'How's the set? How are the scenes?)

"Si daddy naman po, lagi akong pinu-push to be on time sa set. Pinu-push niya ako na maging ready po sa trabaho. (As for daddy, he always pushes me to be on time on set. He pushes me to be ready for work)," the young actor added.
