'It's Showtime's' Ryan Bang among South Korea's top influencers

Kapamilya actor and host Ryan Bang was named among top public figures enhancing South Korea’s global reputation, alongside K-pop powerhouses BTS and Blackpink.
Ryan's name was included in the 2025 Korea National Image Survey as released by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
BTS claimed the top spot, with footballer Son Heung-min ranking second and Blackpink coming in third. Actor Lee Min-ho followed in fourth place, while idol girl and boy groups collectively secured fifth.
Jungkook of BTS ranked sixth, followed by politician Lee Jae-myung in seventh and presidents and national leaders in eighth. Ryan placed ninth, with Blackpink’s Lisa completing the top ten.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Ryan shared his surprise to have been included on the list.
"Nagulat ako kasi tumawag 'yung magulang ko nasa news daw ako sa Korea. 'Yon pala sa survey ng government... na positive impact sa image ng Korea. Nakakatuwa kasi lahat ng artista doon talaga, big and famous — BTS, Blackpink, Lee Min-ho, tapos napasama ako doon, nandun ang name ko (I was surprised because my parents called and said I was on the news in Korea. It turned out that it was from a government survey... which had a positive impact on Korea's image. It's funny because all the artists there are really big and famous — BTS, Blackpink, Lee Min-ho, and then I ended up there, my name was there)," Ryan said.
Building bridges between two countries and cultures, Ryan related, "Yong ginagawa ko lahat, 'yung good image ng Philippines sa Korea, siyempre gusto ko rin 'yung good image ng Korea dito sa Philippines (Everything I do, the good image of the Philippines in Korea, of course I also want the good image of Korea here in the Philippines)," he said.
"Maraming salamat sa mga madlang pipol at mga Pilipino. Alam niyo namang Pilipino rin ako, kasi mas matagal akong nakatira dito kesa sa Korea. Ipagpapatuloy ko ang pag-promote ng kabutihan at kagandahan dito sa Philippines tungkol sa Korea (Thank you very much to the madlang pipol and Filipinos. You know I am also Filipino, because I have lived here longer than in Korea. I will continue to promote the goodness and beauty here in the Philippines about Korea)," Ryan added.
