Man's body found inside MMDA pumping station

Personnel from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reported finding the body of a man floating in Estero de San Miguel inside Quiapo pumping station, on Friday, Jan. 23.

According to the MMDA personnel, they were conducting a waste segregation and trash disposal operation along the estuary when they found the cadaver facing upside down, prompting them to report the discovery to the plant engineer.

Responding personnel from the Manila Police District (MPD) said the victim was wearing a brown shirt, black shorts, and black eyeglasses and is already in the advanced stage of decomposition.

No injuries were found on the body after it was recovered by the authorities.

The police are still investigating the incident as well as the man's identity.
