A POLICE officer rescues a child trapped in a car in Isabela.
CALASIAO, Pangasinan – A police officer rescued a child who was accidentally locked inside a car on Monday, Jan. 20, in Barangay Poblacion 1, Santa Maria town, Isabela province.
Responding Police Executive Master Sgt. Rolly Carinugan of the Santa Maria Police Station assessed the situation and managed to open the vehicle and bring the distressed child to safety.
The child’s grandmother thanked Carinugan for rescuing her grandchild. She said that she never imagined her grandchild would be trapped inside the car.
Carinugan was feted for his good deed. “This is just one of the many quiet acts of service our police officers do every day to protect and help the public,” Isabela police chief Police Col. Manny Bringas said.
Police reminded parents and guardians never to leave children inside vehicles and encouraged families to see police officers as trusted helpers in times of need.
