120 grenades discovered in Quezon cemetery

LUCBAN, Quezon – A cache of grenades was recently discovered at Palola Public Cemetery here.
An Army reservist discovered while visiting the cemetery.
These were concealed inside a fallen tree.
He coordinated with the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit which secured the area and recovered a total of 120 live grenades.
Investigation is ongoing to determine who owns these grenades.
Quezon fire
INFANTA, Quezon – One individual was injured and nine people were rendered homeless in a fire in Purok Narra, Barangay Poblacion Bantillan, this town, on Wednesday afternoon.
Police identified the injured as Ryan, 24.
Arson investigators said the fire started at the house of Tess Cuerdo and spread to neighbors. The fire was put out at 12:45 p.m.
An investigation is being conducted to determine the cause of the fire and damage to property.
