SPD apprehends 51 suspects in 24-hour anti-crime operations
The Southern Police District (SPD) arrested 51 individuals during a series of intensified anti-criminality operations conducted from January 21 to 22.
Brig. Gen. Randy Arceo, SPD director, said the apprehensions underscore the district’s relentless campaign against criminality in southern part of Metro Manila.
Arceo reported that anti-illegal drug operations resulted in the arrest of 16 individuals and the seizure of narcotics worth ₱240,280.80. Confiscated items included 27.42 grams of shabu, 6.29 grams of marijuana, 16 grams of kush, 0.9 gram of cocaine, as well as quantities of Ecstasy and marijuana oil vape.
He noted that these operations dealt a significant blow to the local illegal drug trade.
The SPD chief also said tracker teams conducted 15 manhunt operations that led to the arrest of 15 wanted persons, including two Top Most Wanted, seven Most Wanted Persons, and six others with standing warrants of arrest.
Arceo commended the personnel for their vigilance and effective execution of the district’s operational objectives, stating: “The success of our 24-hour operations is a direct result of the synergy between our police force and the community. By apprehending 51 individuals who have evaded the law, we are demonstrating our resolve to uphold justice and public order. We remain steadfast in our mission to transform the Southern Police District into a safer place through proactive policing and consistent enforcement of the law.”
