Three hurt in Antipolo road accident

Three people, including a Korean couple, were injured in a road accident along Marcos Highway in Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City, on Sunday, Jan. 18.
Police identified the victims as “Hee,” 37, the motorcycle driver, and his wife, “Eun,” both residents of Fernando Poe Jr. Avenue in Del Monte, Quezon City; and a pedestrian, “Marlon,” 50, a resident of Barangay San Jose.
Authorities said the couple was traveling from Cogeo toward the Boso-Boso area and was following a sedan.
After the sedan moved ahead, the pedestrian suddenly appeared and attempted to cross the road.
To avoid hitting the pedestrian, the motorcycle driver swerved toward the pavement, causing the motorcycle to slide. The pedestrian also tried to avoid the motorcycle but fell to the ground.
All three sustained injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
