Robinsons Malls turns everyday spaces into festival grounds
A look at how Sinulog and Dinagyang were celebrated across Cebu and Iloilo
Sinulog Festival
Malls today function as shared spaces where people gather beyond shopping. This January, Robinsons Malls brought the spirit of Sinulog and Dinagyang 2026 to Cebu and Iloilo through a series of on-ground festival celebrations.
From January 14 to 18, festival activities inspired by Sinulog took place across its Cebu locations, featuring a Dress Up Corner where guests tried on traditional costumes and enjoyed festival-themed face art. One of the highlights was a cast appearance by Totoy Bato at Robinsons Galleria Cebu.
The activities continued with Sinulog dancers and live drum performances by Beats of Sinulog, keeping the festive mood present throughout the venues. Shoppers also took part in Sinulog Treats and Rewards, which ran alongside the events and offered chances to win prizes.
In the southwest of the Visayas, the celebration extended to Dinagyang Festival 2026 in Iloilo, with participation in the ILOmiNATION Floats Parade of Lights on January 23 and festival activities staged across multiple locations in the province. Dinagyang Village ran throughout January, alongside exhibits, pet-focused events, food fairs, fun races, and a job fair.
Other Iloilo venues hosted food festivals, exhibits, interactive booths, and family-focused activities, including Pets-tival and kids’ fairs. Festival highlights also included Tourist Treats from January 23 to 25, offering free Movieworld Cards, as well as Dinagyang-themed face art on select dates.
Festivals celebrate tradition and bring communities together. Robinsons Malls supports this by hosting Sinulog and Dinagyang activities in familiar spaces, turning everyday destinations into places for shared cultural experiences.
