Cutt & Grill has opened its first restaurant in Manila, bringing the Indonesian steakhouse brand to Parqal Mall in Aseana, Parañaque City. The restaurant marked its debut on Jan. 9 with an opening event that introduced guests to its food, service style and approach to steak-focused dining.
The launch gathered members of the media, industry figures and invited guests, who were served selections from the menu while moving through the dining room and bar. Rather than a formal program, the afternoon unfolded as a working service, offering a preview of how the restaurant operates on a regular day.
Proceedings began with a restaurant blessing, followed by a ribbon-cutting to formally open the space. From there, attention shifted to the floor and the kitchen. Bartenders demonstrated cocktail techniques at the bar, while the service team staged a coordinated walk-through that highlighted the restaurant’s emphasis on structured, attentive service.
A Chef’s Table presentation gave guests a closer look at how the kitchen handles premium cuts, from seasoning to grilling and plating. The segment emphasized technique and consistency rather than spectacle, before the culinary team was introduced in a brief chef parade.
Design plays a supporting role in the experience. Warm interiors and clean, contemporary lines temper the formality often associated with steakhouses, allowing the room to feel comfortable without losing its sense of occasion. It is a setting that accommodates both celebratory dinners and quieter, table-focused meals.
As the opening event wound down, conversation among guests turned to the restaurant’s regular service and how the concept would settle into the local dining landscape.
