Students and personnel of Mambugan National High School in Barangay Mambugan, Antipolo City, were evacuated from school premises after a teacher received a bomb threat through his Facebook page on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Because your boss doesn't want to make decisions, you are the one who will be in charge of the lives of the students there. I had already warned him but he won't budge. I also have a child there and I'm ready to lose him for my revenge on your principal. I'm sure you won't know where I planted it, but I can only guarantee one thing, I won't stop until I get my revenge)."
Jela immediately informed the school staff about the message, prompting them to seek police assistance.
Upon arriving at the school, the police quickly conducted a thorough search of the school premises and advised school personnel to remain alert and vigilant for any suspicious persons, packages, or activities within the vicinity.
The Rizal Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Unit was also deployed to hold a technical investigation and area assessment within the school to ensure the public's safety and verify the possible presence of any hazardous or explosive materials.
Later that day, the police declared the school safe.
Authorities are still investigating the incident as well as the identity of the suspect.
