Tahum: A Pop-Up Festival returns for its biggest year yet
Tahum: A Pop-Up Festival is back for its eighth year, happening this Jan. 30 to Feb. 1, 2026, at the Iloilo Convention Center. Presented by the Assumption Iloilo Educational Foundation, Inc. (AIEF) and Assumption Iloilo, this year’s edition marks Tahum’s most ambitious celebration to date, bringing together more than 75 carefully curated exhibitors from across the Philippines.
From Iloilo, Antique, Capiz, and the Negros Islands to Cebu, Bohol, and key creative hubs in Luzon, Tahum 2026 showcases the diversity and strength of Filipino design and entrepreneurship. Visitors can expect a wide range of thoughtfully made products from clothing, jewelry, shoes, and home pieces to lifestyle essentials designed for both everyday wear and special occasions.
More than a marketplace, Tahum is a movement with a mission. One hundred percent of the proceeds directly support scholars from Assumption communities across Panay, making every purchase an act of purpose.
“Tahum was created from a simple belief—that when creativity and compassion come together, lives can truly change. Every exhibitor, every visitor, and every purchase becomes part of a larger story of hope, opportunity, and education for our scholars, “ AIEF president Marjorie Florete said.
A mix of returning favorites and exciting new voices
Tahum 2026 proudly welcomes back some of its pioneering exhibitors—brands that have grown alongside the festival over the years. Among them is FilipiNeo, the ready-to-wear brand of Sir Nono Palmos, known as the father of Hablon and a nativeof Miag-ao. This year, FilipiNeo introduces a refreshing new collection titled “Breeze,” inspired by movement, lightness, and Filipino craftsmanship.
Also returning are beloved creative brands such as BJ Chavez, statement accessories with bold forms and sculptural details, Lakat by Creative Definitions, a sustainable Philippine sneaker brand recognized for its eco-friendly footwear crafted from local materials like pineapple leaf fiber (piña) and cotton, and many more. While some exhibitors have been with Tahum since as early as 2019, the 2026 edition promises something new from each—fresh designs, new stories, and renewed purpose.
As Tahum continues to grow, it also opens its doors to new exhibitors. This year, the festival is honored to welcome Farah Abu, whose statement earrings and accessories—featured everywhere from Paris to Hollywood—make their Iloilo debut at Tahum. Joining her are exciting new brands such as Matthew and Melka, known for their thoughtfully designed lifestyle pieces defined by clean lines, comfort, and modern simplicity, and Speranza, purpose-driven bags crafted with structure, function, and understated elegance.
Namit: Bringing good food closer to home
Beyond fashion and design, Tahum once again features Namit, its dedicated food section celebrating flavors close to the Ilonggo heart. Returning crowd-favorite Gourmet by El Toro Tapas & Bar comes back after a successful first Tahum appearance last year. Joining them for the first time is La Maison du Leganes, a French bistro from Leganes bringing refined
comfort food to the festival.
Echoes of H.O.P.E.
This year’s theme, “Echoes of H.O.P.E. (Harnessing Opportunities and Promises through Education),” celebrates AIEF’s 50 years of service, supporting education as a powerful tool for change. Tahum was born from this very purpose—to uplift scholars from Assumption communities such as Assumption Passi, Assumption Iloilo, Sta. Rita Academy (Sibalom, Antique), and the Assumption Socio-Educational Center (ASEC) in Iloilo City.
To date, over 740 scholars have been supported by AIEF. Every Tahum attendee becomes part of this journey—helping shape futures, one opportunity at a time.
“Education plants seeds of hope that continue to grow long after the classroom. Through Tahum, we see how generosity, creativity, and faith come together to transform not only individual lives, but entire communities,” Sr. Fe Emmanuel Beltran, R.A., head of the Assumption Apostolate said.
