BAGUIO CITY – A co-accused of former Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. in his plunder case was arrested by the PNP-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in Benguet province early Tuesday morning, Jan. 20.
DILG Secretary Juanito Victor Remulla said that Christina Mae del Rosario Pineda, 38, cashier of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bulacan First District Engineering Office, allegedly tried to hide, but was tracked down by alert personnel of the CIDG- Mountain Province Provincial Field Unit, together with the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Benguet Police Provincial Office.
Pineda was arrested at around 12:40 a.m. in Barangay Bangao, Buguias, on a warrant of arrest issued by the Sandiganbayan Third Division.
She is among six people charged with malversation by the Sandiganbayan in connection with the P92.8-million ghost project in Pandi, Bulacan that was linked to the misuse of Revilla's Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).
