BACOLOD CITY – Police Patrolman Rey Albert Temblor, who was allegedly gunned down by his colleague, was buried at Serenity Garden Memorial Park in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
A public viewing was held at Saint Anthony de Padua Parish in Barangay Poblacion, Sibulan, Negros Oriental in the morning before a funeral mass at Saint James the Greater Parish in Tanjay City in the afternoon.
Temblor was accorded a 21-gun salute during his interment for his dedication and service to the organization. The 32-year-old was a native of Agusan del Norte, and lived in Tanjay City.
Tanjay City Mayor Jose "Pepe" Orlino visited the wake of Temblor on Jan. 13 and condoled with his family.
Temblor entered the police organization in October 2020 and served five years. He was an assistant in the supply section of the Sibulan Municipal Police Station at the time of his death.
He was the last to be laid to rest among the three police officers killed following a bar shooting where a female worker was shot dead in Barangay Tubtubon, Sibulan on Jan. 9. Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
