Mandaluyong public school teachers receive brand new laptops from city gov't
A total of 2,000 laptops were turned over by the Mandaluyong City local government to its public schools to be used in its information and communication technology (ICT) laboratories on Monday, Jan. 19, as part of the city government's expanded efforts in helping its teaching personnel in their teaching needs.
Mandaluyong City Mayor Menchie Abalos and Vice Mayor Anthony Suva led the turnover event held at Eulogio Rodriguez Integrated School in Barangay Hagdan Bato Itaas.
The said laptops were received by officials of the Mandaluyong Federation of Public School Teachers Association Inc.
"Ang mga laptop ay nakalaan para sa mga ICT laboratories ng public schools sa lungsod bilang bahagi ng patuloy na modernization programs ng pamahalaang lungsod para sa education sector. Layunin ng programang ito na mas mapalakas ang paggamit ng technology sa pagtuturo at mas matulungan ang mga guro sa kanilang daily instructional needs (The laptops are being provided to the ICT laboratories of public schools in the city as part of the city government's ongoing modernization programs for the education sector. The program aims to further enhance the use of technology in teaching and to better assist teachers in their daily instructional needs)," Abalos said.
