A 39-year-old security guard was fatally shot by a motorcycle-riding gunman in front of a condominium building along Yakal Street in Barangay San Antonio, Makati City, on Sunday, Jan. 18.
Based on the police report, the victim was about to eat at an eatery when one of the suspects wearing a black bonnet suddenly approached him from behind and fired four shots at the security guard, hitting him in rapid succession.
The gunman quickly escaped onboard a Honda PCX scooter driven by his accomplice wearing a motorcycle-taxi shirt toward Chino Roces Ave.
First responders immediately brought the shot security guard to the Makati Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival after sustaining gunshot wounds on his upper body.
Investigators recovered four fired cartridges of 9mm ammunition at the crime scene.
The police said they are still investigating the incident.
