DAVAO CITY – This city generated P15.1 billion in revenue in 2025, a 12.93 percent increase from the P13.4 billion collected in 2024, the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) announced Monday night.
In a statement, CTO head Lawrence Bantiding said the growth was fueled by higher collections from key sources, including business taxes, real property taxes, professional tax, and property transfer tax.
“Contributing to this increase is the boost in the city’s business activities, the rise in the number of professionals, and the mindfulness of taxpayers in fulfilling their obligations,” Bantiding said.
He emphasized that the steady rise in revenue reflects excellent governance and a thriving business environment, citing the growth in gross sales and revenue among local enterprises.
“With stronger collections, the city has sufficient funds to provide better services for its constituents,” he added.
The CTO also cited the real property tax amnesty program, which helped increase the city’s target collections.
Meanwhile, Bantiding reminded business owners to renew their permits through the Business Permit One-Stop-Shop (BPOSS), which remains open until Jan. 31.
He urged property owners to settle their real property taxes before the March 31 deadline.
The CTO thanked Dabawenyos for their continued support in paying taxes and securing permits, underscoring their role in sustaining the city’s growth. (PNA)
