Premoum new energy vehicle (NEV) brand Denza is set to expand into the Philippines within the quarter as it seeks to broaden the footprint of Chinese automotive company BYD Group beyond the mass market and into the luxury segment.
In a statement, Denza said its entry in the local market introduces a new premium portfolio for car enthusiasts and consumers that are planning to make the jump into electrified vehicles (EVs).
Denza, the premium NEV arm of BYD, noted that its vehicles are designed to merge proprietary electrification technologies with executive-tier comfort and build quality.
“The future of premium mobility isn’t defined by excess—it’s defined by intelligence. Nowadays, it is technology that truly drives elegance,” said BYD and Denza Philippines Country Head Adam Hu.
“And at Denza, we see new energy vehicles as an opportunity to rethink how power, comfort, and sustainability can work together in a more thoughtful, human way,” he added.
Denza’s official brand launch and unveiling of its initial offering in the county is set to take place this quarter. This will officially mark its entry into the local market.
The company said it will have a broader rollout of premium electrified vehicles in the coming months.
BYD Philippines Corp., the local subsidiary of BYD Group, will be the official distributor of the brand.
The vehicles will first be offered through BYD’s authorized dealerships in Makati, Alabang, Greenhills, and Cebu.
With its entry into the automotive market, Denza said consumers can expect a “distinct shift toward craftsmanship and passenger-centric engineering.”
“The brand draws on established global vehicle architectures to deliver a driving experience that reconciles high-output performance with the efficiency and environmental pragmatism required of modern premium transport,” it said.
At the core of Denza’s innovation push is its intelligent body control system, DiSus, designed to deliver ride comfort without sacrificing handling.
It also utilizes the e3 platform, the intelligence vehicle architecture that offers precise control, enhanced safety, and top-tier maneuverability.
“What we’re building with Denza is a long-term vision for premium mobility—one where innovation serves the driver, sustainability is seamlessly integrated, and every vehicle reflects a smarter way forward,” Hu said.
“With its arrival, Denza opens a new era of intelligent premium mobility in the Philippines —where advanced technology drives elegance, performance, and progress,” he added.
The brand’s local entry further affirms BYD’s commitment to expand the country’s access to next-generation mobility solutions.
In 2024, BYD sold a total of 4,780 vehicles, accounting for the bulk or 82 percent of the local NEV market.
