RIIZE holds concert tour in Manila: 'Your reactions are amazing'
K-pop boy band RIIZE returned to Manila for their first concert tour and performed their latest single “Fame.”
RIIZE’s Sungchan, Sohee, Anton, Shotaro, Eunseok and Wonbin met Filipino fans at their “Riizing Loud” concert in Manila on Jan. 17 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
In 2024, RIIZE held their “Riizing Day” fan-con in Manila.
RIIZE opened the show with “Ember to Solar,” followed by “Siren,” “Combo,” “Memories,” “Be My Next” and “Lucky.”
Amid the loud cheers from the audience, Sungchan said, “I can really feel that we’re finally here in Manila. Sama-sama tayong mag-enjoy today (Let's enjoy today together).”
Shotaro asked the fans, “Guys, did you miss us? We missed you so much too. I remember when we were here the last time, your passion and your cheers were just amazing. But now we are back here today, I can totally say you guys are really just great.”
Eunseok said, “It's been so long since we've been here. We are looking forward so much. It feels like we can feel the emotions again just like the previous visit.”
“Long time no see,” said Wonbin. “While we were standing by, I could hear your loud cheers. I love how this vibe is right now.”
Sohee said, “I’m really shocked. This arena is filled with all your loud screams. I love you.”
Anton said, “ I'm so thankful for this opportunity in the Philippines and see you all.”
Before coming to Manila, RIIZE won three awards at the 10th Asia Artist Awards held in Taiwan. They bagged Performance of the Year, Best Artist, and Emotive Award.
At the 40th Golden Disc Awards (also held in Taiwan), RIIZE won an Album Bonsang (Main Prize) for “Odyssey.” At the 2025 Melon Music Awards last December, Riize won Millions Top 10, Top 10 Artist, and Best Performance.
Throughout the concert, fans screamed and cheered as RIIZE sang and danced and went back and forth from the main stage to the extended stage.
RIIZE also performed “Passage,” “Midnight Mirage,” TVXQ’s “Hug,” “Sticky Like,” “Love 119,” “9 Days,” “Show Me Love,” “Honestly,” “Talk Saxy,” “Impossible” and “Fame,” a song that was released last November.
After singing EXO’s “Monster,” RIIZE went on to perform “Bag Bad Back,” “Get a Guitar,” “Fly Up,” “Another Life,” “The End of the Day,” “One Kiss” and “Inside My Love.”
As the concert ended, RIIZE said farewell to their fans, saying that they hoped that the next time, they could meet them in a bigger venue.
“Manila Briize [fans], I think your voices are beautiful just as beautiful as your smiles are. Just as how we felt last year, all your smiles and as you wave your hands, we can totally feel how much you love us, and that energy we can feel while we were on stage. Thank you so much for giving us such great memories. I don't know when that will be but I hope that we can come back to Manila hopefully in a bigger venue with more of you with our group concert as well. Hope to see you by then. Salamat po (Thank you),” said Sungchan.
Shotaro said, “Since our soundcheck we really felt your energy. Manila, you are the best. It's been a while since we came back but still your energy has been incredible. That's why while we were on stage, we really had fun as well. So please look forward to and continue to cheer us on as we prepare more songs and diverse stages to show you on the next time we come back.”
“I want to thank you so much for welcoming us even more than before, and I'm really happy for giving us really great memories to cherish. See you by then,” said Eunseok.
Wonbin said, “Your responses, your reactions are amazing. Just as how much when you're very sincere on stage, when you sincerely cheered for us, we can also feel that as well. Because today we totally felt your hearts, it's a great memory for us to remember. Thank you so much. I love performing in warm weather. And that's why we really had more fun. Mahal namin kayo (We love you)..”
“Really we can never forget our Manila concert tonight. Seriously, all of your cheers and energy one by one, we could totally feel it. And that keeps Riize singing and dancing. I love you,” said Sohee,
Anton said, “We've been touring, we've had a lot of different things that were going on. We had, like, the award ceremonies, such as MAMA and MMA [Melon Music Awards], and, you know, we were preparing for this and that. But seeing you guys always, you know, gives us a lot of energy and the energy to keep on going, you know?”
He added, “So, we even have our second Japan single coming out soon too. So I hope you guys are excited for that as well. And as the other members mentioned already, I think because you guys were so amazing tonight, we will be able to come back someday.”
“And when we do, as the other members mentioned, I really want to see each and every one of your faces again when we do come back. And you promise? I promise that we will come back to you guys. Promise us that you guys will come back to see us as well. Thank you guys so much for tonight. We love you!” he said.
