2 senior high school students killed in car-truck collision

LUCENA CITY, Quezon – Two senior high school students were killed in a collision between their car and trailer truck in Barangay Bocohan here before dawn on Sunday, Jan. 18.
Police identified the victims as Rayver and Ralph from Tayabas City, Quezon.
Investigation said the victims' car collided with the truck with license plates NBE-1045 driven by Alain, 58, of Gumaca, Quezon, as it was about to make a left turn to the Quezon Eco-Tourism Road. The car was dragged for about two meters before the truck stopped.
Victims sustained injuries and were declared dead on the spot by the Lucena City Rescue and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
Alain was arrested and faces appropriate cases. Follow-up investigation is ongoing.
