The countdown begins: Marvel ushers fans toward Avengers: Doomsday

After garnering over a billion views for their teaser trailers, Marvel thanked fans for surpassing that mark and ended the clip with a clear date: Dec. 18, 2026, signaling the start of the final lead-up to the much-anticipated film.

“The countdown has begun. #AvengersDoomsday,” it wrote in the caption.

At the same time, Marvel also launched a livestream countdown on YouTube with the text: “Doomsday is coming.”

Robert Downey Jr. takes on the role of Doctor Doom in the star-studded Avengers: Doomsday, with recent teasers confirming the return of Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and the original X-Men—Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, Ian McKellen’s Magneto, and James Marsden’s Cyclops—alongside the Fantastic Four and the Wakandans, led by Shuri as the new Black Panther.
