Let's get to know more about Kurt:
1) How would you describe your journey in Mister Friendship International?
The activities held both in Khon Kaen and Bangkok were all challenging, meaningful, and deeply fulfilling. From the moment I arrived, it felt like more than just a competition. It was a shared experience with people from different countries, cultures, and stories. Every single day pushed me to grow, not just as a candidate, but as a person.
2) What have you learned from joining this international pageant?
I learned the value of openness and humility. Being surrounded by people from all over the world taught me to listen, to understand different perspectives, and to appreciate diversity. It reminded me that confidence doesn’t come from being better than others, but from being secure in who you are.
3) What would you consider your memorable moments in the competition?
The moments offstage were just as memorable as those onstage. Building friendships, sharing stories, and supporting one another despite being competitors made the experience truly special. The activities in Khon Kaen like the Thai Silk fashion show were also unforgettable, as they helped me better understand and appreciate Thai culture. Standing on stage during the finals and representing the Philippines was a moment of pride I will always carry with me.
4) You almost clinched the crown. How do you feel about it?
There was a brief moment of “what if” and a bit of heartbreak, especially knowing how close I was. But pageantry isn’t always about winning. It’s about the journey, the growth, and the people you meet along the way. What stayed with me was gratitude and pride, knowing I gave my best and remained true to myself throughout the competition.
5) What are your plans for 2026?
For now, I plan to take a short break and focus on self-improvement. I’ve received invitations and opportunities to compete in other pageants, which I’m thankful for, but I want to take things one step at a time. I’m keeping an open mind and allowing myself the space to grow before deciding what comes next.
