BACOLOD CITY – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) recovered illegal drugs valued at P45.3 million in 2025, P3 million more than the P42.6 million in 2024.
Police Capt. Judesses Catalogo, Negros Occidental police spokesperson, said that they confiscated 6.6 kilos of shabu worth about P45 million and 2.6 kilos of marijuana valued at P319,108.56 in 2025.
Catalogo said lawmen conducted 1,151 anti-illegal drugs operations from Jan 1. to Dec. 31, 2025, and arrested 1,447 suspects.
He said these figures reflect the sustained efforts of law enforcement as the campaign against illegal drugs continues.
Catalogo said the prevalence of illegal drugs in the province, particularly in the latter part of 2025, declined.
He said most of the contraband entering the province originate from other areas, underscoring the need for continuous anti-illegal drug operations.
