A magnitude 4.2 earthquake struck Sultan Kudarat on Sunday morning, Jan. 18, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
In its Earthquake Information No. 2, Phivolcs said the tremor occurred at 11:55 a.m.
The agency said the epicenter was located 41 kilometers south-southwest of Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin, the agency added.
Phivolcs said the quake was felt at the following areas:
Intensity III - Lebak, Sultan, Kudarat
Intensity II - Kalamansig, Sultan, Kudarat
Instrumental Intensity:
Intensity II - Kalamansig, Sultan, Kudarat
The agency said it is not expecting damage nor aftershocks from the earthquake.
