Pasay LGU features 440 Sto. Niño images in festival celebration

The city government of Pasay showcased around 440 images of the Sto. Niño at the Cuneta Astrodome on Jan. 16, following the Pagpanaog of the Santísimo Nombre del Santo Niño Jesús from Pasay City Hall.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the exhibit features images owned by Sto. Niño devotees from various barangays across the city highlight the strong faith and devotion of Pasayeños.
Rubiano said the Santísimo Nombre del Santo Niño Jesús, which arrived at Pasay City Hall on Jan. 12, was formally brought to the Cuneta Astrodome to mark the official opening of the annual Fiesta del Santo Niño.
The mayor, who was once again re-elected as Primera Hermana Mayor of the Feast of the Santo Niño, personally led the procession of the sacred image to the venue.
Rubiano said the exhibition is open to the public from Jan. 16 to 23, from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., and invited Sto. Niño devotees and visitors can view the diverse images on display.
She also encouraged the public to participate in the nightly novena Mass, which is held at 7 p.m. at the Cuneta Astrodome.
The mayor further announced that the Grand Procession, scheduled on Jan. 26, will feature hundreds of Sto. Niño statues carried through the streets of Pasay City in a vibrant expression of faith and community spirit.
The procession will start at Pasay City Hall and proceed around the city up to the Manila boundary.
