Man cheats death after falling from fifth floor of Baguio hotel

A 31-year-old man is sprawled on the road after accidentally falling from the fifth floor of a hotel and crashing onto the roof of a taxi in Baguio City on Friday, Jan. 16.

BAGUIO CITY – A 31-year-old man was injured after accidentally falling from the fifth floor of a hotel and crashing onto the roof of a taxi here on Friday, Jan. 16.
Investigation said the victim walking on the balcony of Hotel Veniz and climbed over the balcony railing at 5:51 p.m.
The man was caught on video holding onto the iron railing while hanging from the balcony.
Moments later, he lost his grip and fell, landing on the rear of a passing taxi on Chanum St. The taxi driver stopped to check.
The victim sustained injuries in the body and was taken to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
