What APMC's EEE Awards sweep says about sustainable property management

In Ayala Land’s developments, sustainability is embedded in how buildings are designed, operated, and managed every day. Through smarter energy use and more efficient systems, the developer has consistently demonstrated that responsible growth can be both practical and future-ready, a commitment that has recently come into sharper focus as Ayala Property Management Corporation (APMC), Ayala Land’s property management arm, emerged as a top winner at the Department of Energy’s Energy Efficiency Excellence (EEE) Awards 2025 for its strong energy management initiatives.
Building on this recognition, the annual EEE Awards honors organizations that set the benchmark for responsible and innovative energy use, and this year APMC distinguished itself across multiple categories. It received Energy Management Awards for New and Existing Buildings through Alveo Financial Tower; for Tropical Buildings via Bonifacio High Street East and Serendra Retail; for Small and Medium Buildings with BPI Intramuros and Capital House; and for Large Buildings through Ayala North Exchange. The property management arm also secured the Special Award for Energy Efficiency Excellence in Best Practices and Measures for Abreeza Residences Condo Corp., further reinforcing its leadership in sustainable building management.
DOE Secretary Sharon Garin praised the Ayala Group for securing the highest number of awards this year, a performance capped by the conferment of the Don Emilio Abello Award for Energy Efficiency Excellence to Ayala Corporation Chairman and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, which was accepted on his behalf by APMC President Tony Martin.
In response to this milestone, and reflecting on what the awards mean beyond plaques and rankings, Martin framed sustainability as both a responsibility and a calling for the company, saying, “Ayala has long been recognized for its commitment to sustainability, particularly in the area of energy efficiency. To be part of these efforts at the operational level is a source of deep pride for us at APMC. We see their impact not only within the communities we manage, but also in the broader environment we serve.”
Ultimately, the significance of these achievements goes beyond trophies. APMC’s performance reflects a clear shift in Ayala’s developments toward more efficient and sustainable operations. By supporting Ayala Land’s Net Zero Commitment, APMC reinforces its focus on building responsibly for the future of both people and the planet.
