The Bacolod City Police Office recovered shabu and marijuana worth P157.3 million in 2025, a 47.6 percent increase compared to P106.6 million in 2024.
Police confiscated 22.9 kilos of shabu worth P155.8 million and 12.6 kilos of marijuana valued at P1.5 million from Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025, a 46.2 percent and 52.7 percent increase, from the previous year.
A total of 597 anti-illegal drug operations were conducted in 2025, leading to the arrest of 785 suspects, 50.1 percent higher than the 523 in 2024.
Police, led by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), filed 1,193 drug-related cases.
The CDEU filed 264 cases against 175 individuals in 98 operations and recorded the largest single haul in 2025 worth P104.5 million.
Among the 10 police stations in this city, Police Station 8 seized P23.1 million, followed by Police Station 2 with P20.4 million, Police Station 7 with P2.3 million, P1.8 million (Police Station 4), P1.1 million (Police Station 3), P635,553.52 (Police Station 5), P558,751 (Police Station 6), P361,746.40 (Police Station 1), P339,292.80 (Police Station 10), and P273,067.60 (Police Station 9). The Bacolod City Mobile Force Company (BCMFC) seized P1.5 million worth of illegal drugs.
Police Col. Joeresty Coronica, Bacolod police director, said the primary source of illegal drugs entering this highly-urbanized city is likely from Luzon, passing through Panay or Cebu provinces.
He commended police units and partner agencies for their sustained efforts to eradicate illegal drugs in the city.
