The Quezon City government will conduct its Kasalang Bayan in February, offering free wedding services to QC residents who wish to legalize their union.
The ceremonies will be held at the M.I.C.E Center, Quezon City Hall Compound on the dates around Valentine’s Day.
For residents residing in District 1 and 2, the wedding ceremony will be held on Feb. 12, Thursday.
The following day, Friday, Feb. 13, residents living in District 3 and 4 will be wed.
On the Love Day itself, no weddings will be scheduled but on Feb. 15 (Sunday), the ceremonies will resume.
Soon-to-be-weds are required to submit to the local city government photocopies of their birth certificates, photocopy of their QCitizen ID, and Marriage License Forms.
They must be of legal age, 18 and above. A pair of sponsors or witnesses (1 ninong, and 1 ninang) must also be present.
