President Marcos has expressed hope that the Muslim Filipino community's observance of Al Isra Wal Mi’raj strengthens their faith to guide them in their daily life with humility and moral clarity.
“As you gather in prayer, may this sacred occasion strengthen your faith and renew your spirit. May it guide your daily life with humility, moral clarity, and steadfast resolve,” Marcos said in his message on Friday, Jan. 16.
This, as he joined the Muslim Filipino community in observing Al Isra Wal Mi’raj, a sacred day that commemorates the profound Night Journey and Ascension of the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The President said the day marks the defining moment of divine encounter, revelation and trust from which flowed the wisdom and commandments that continue to anchor the Islamic faith.
This day thus reminds Muslim Filipinos of the constant and unwavering nature of Allah's guidance in the face of trials, the President added.
The Chief Executive said the remembrance of the miraculous journey would fortify one’s will in adversity, showing that resilience lies in facing hardship with grace and responsibility before the Almighty.
“For genuine faith shines brightest in actions that honor both personal conviction and the common good,” he emphasized.
Marcos further said that the commemoration serves as a reminder that faith and moral discipline are most meaningful when applied to the shared duty of nation-building.
The Chief Executive said forging national development requires perseverance, sacrifice, and solidarity.
“When faith fuels purpose and service is guided by conscience, we move closer to a Bagong Pilipinas where dignity is defended, opportunities reach every Filipino, and progress is truly inclusive,” the President said.
“May this observance be meaningful and enriching for all,” he added.
