The southbound lane of Dimasalang Bridge will reopen to motorists on Jan. 17, 2026, following the completion of rehabilitation works by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
In a formal notice sent to Manila City Hall this week, the Department of Public Works and Highways North Manila District Engineering Office informed Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso that repairs on the bridge’s southbound carriageway have been completed.
In a letter dated Jan. 14, 2026, DPWH North Manila District Engineer Dennis E. Sandoval confirmed the official completion of the project, titled "Rehabilitation and Major Repair of Permanent Bridges Dimasalang Bridge B01820LZ," along Dimasalang Street.
The rehabilitation involved major structural repairs and was implemented through a joint venture between G F Fabian Construction and F316 Construction Corporation.
“Please be advised that the rehabilitation works for the southbound lane of Dimasalang Bridge have been completed,” Sandoval said in the letter addressed to the mayor.
Sandoval added that the southbound lane is scheduled to reopen to the public on January 17, 2026, restoring full southbound traffic flow along the busy thoroughfare.
The DPWH also thanked the Manila city government for its coordination and assistance during the implementation of the project, noting the support extended by the mayor’s office throughout the rehabilitation period.
