COMELEC Antipolo office starts preparations for March 14 election

The office of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Antipolo City has started its preparations for the scheduled election on March 14 for the city’s second congressional district.
Following the release of the calendar of activities for the Antipolo election which was mandated by Comelec Resolution No. 11185 that sets the polls for the congressional slot in city’s second district, the office of the poll body in Antipolo has reminded the public of the important dates in relation to the election.

With the elections coming, COMELEC Antipolo has suspended the registration of voters from Jan. 19 to March 22 to give way to the upcoming elections.
With the suspension of registration of voters, those who failed to register before the Jan. 16 deadline will not be able to vote in the March 14 poll.
The filing of candidacy will be on February 5 to 6, while the campaign period will be from Feb. 12 to March 12.
Comelec has set the election period from Feb. 12 to March 29, 2026 prohibiting the bearing, carrying, or transporting of firearms on the said dates.
Voting hours on March 14, a Saturday, are from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. only.
The second legislative district of Antipolo City covers Barangays Calawis, Cupang, Dalig, Inarawan, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis and San Roque.
The holding of the special election in the city's second district came as Rep. Romeo Acop died on Dec. 20, 2025 due to heart attack.
