Special documentary relives Abra's MPBL title run

From the time the team had a bold rebuilding process prior to the 2025 MPBL Season, up to the franchise’s dominant playoff run, and to the moment when the Abra Solid North Weavers won their first franchise championship.
Relive all that in a four-part series titled “Weaving the Win” as Episode 1 is now available starting January 15 on the official Facebook page of the team - Abra Solid North Weavers.
Presented in partnership between Abra team owner Congressman JB Bernos and Burlington Industries Philippines Inc., the sports documentary captures how a ‘small market’ team from the province was able to unite players, coaches, and an entire community to weave a championship built on discipline, belief, and collective effort.
Season MVP Dave Ildefonso shares his experience from the time the team was preparing for the season, to the moment they lifted the title trophy. Same goes with other Abra players like Finals top performer Jason Brickman, guard Encho Serrano, big man Geo Chiu, as well as John Uduba.
The coaching led by head coach Yong Garcia and assistant coach Denok Miranda also share the spotlight in the documentary.
Abra posted a 28-1 record in the regular season to gain the No. 1 seed in North division during the knockout playoffs, where they beat Ilagan Isabela 2-0 in the best-of-three division quarterfinals, Caloocan 2-0 in a three-game series of division semifinals, and 3-0 against Pangasinan in a best-of-five North division finals.
In the national finals, the Weavers swept South top seed Quezon Huskers 3-0 that capped one of the MPBL’s greatest campaigns, and all will be retold in the documentary produced by Prime Edge Marketing Consultancy, one of the top sports marketing and sport production teams in the country.
For Episodes 2, 3 and 4, the release dates will be annouced on the team’s Facebook page.
