RFM to ramp up spending on Selecta ice cream, milk as profits rise
Concepcion-led food and beverage firm RFM Corp. expects higher capital expenditures (capex) this year to expand its ice cream and milk capacities following a strong performance in 2025.
RFM President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jose Ma. A. Concepcion III disclosed to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) that preliminary unaudited net income reached approximately ₱1.6 billion, with revenues at ₱22.2 billion, representing 14-percent and two-percent growth, respectively.
“We remain optimistic about sustaining sales and income growth in 2026, driven by new products, resilient consumer demand, easing inflation, and stable commodity prices. Our brands and institutional segments, including ice cream, are expected to maintain strong performance,” he said.
Concepcion added that, “In fact, we are planning to invest in additional capacity and modernization in our ice cream business over the next few years as our Selecta, Magnum, and Cornetto brands continue to develop the market.”
“Aside from new investments in ice cream, RFM is also allocating funds for production upgrades in Selecta Milk to enhance efficiency and yield. And while 2026 will see heavier capex spending compared to 2025, RFM’s balance sheet shall remain strong and liquid,” he noted.
With the higher 2025 profit, RFM said its board of directors has approved a ₱300-million cash dividend, equivalent to ₱0.08903 per share, payable on Feb. 24, 2026, to shareholders of record as of Jan. 29, 2026.
At a share price of ₱4.85 as of Jan. 14, 2026, this dividend represents a yield of approximately 1.84 percent. For reference, total dividends declared in 2025 amounted to ₱1.5 billion, or ₱0.44517 per share, representing a dividend yield of 10.3 percent.
“This declaration underscores RFM’s continued commitment to delivering shareholder value,” the company said.
Concepcion III said, “This January dividend declaration is one of four or five tranches that we aim to declare for the year.”
RFM markets well-known brands such as Selecta Milk, Fiesta and Royal Pasta, flour, and buns, and operates a joint venture (JV) in the country’s leading ice cream business selling Selecta, Magnum, and Cornetto ice cream.
