Russian vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetsky is now lined up for deportation after serving his sentence for charges relating to his stunts at the Bonifacio Global City last year, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) said on Thursday, Jan 15.
DILG SecretaryJonvic Remulla said Zdorovetsky will still be subjected to the clearance of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and to the courts where cases were filed against him, adding that vlogger's passport of origin will conduct his deportation process even if the vlogger is a United States (US) resident and green card holder.
“Ang passport niya (Zdorovetsky) po ay galing sa Russia kaya doon po ang processing ng deportation (He carries a Russian passport that is where the deportation processing will be conducted),’’ Remulla pointed out.
Remulla noted that the necessary documents of the vlogger’s escorts are already in order, saying that his flight will start in Kalibo, Aklan enroute to Manila then to Moscow, Russia.
“Ito po (deportation) magaganap sa, humigit kumulang isang linggo na siguro ano, isang linggo lang (The process will be done within one week probably, approximately one week),’’ Remulla said.
The DILG chief reminded that tourists and visitors are welcome in the Philippines and are treated with respect and we expect them to follow the same rules we follow when we travel.
“We have no ill feelings against Vitaly, he has served his time and he has shown his remorse and he is now a free man when he goes back to Russia,’’ Remulla ended.
