The Muntinlupa City government launched the Muntizen ID, an official ID that can be used to access services including health, social services, and scholarships.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon led the launching of the Muntizen ID in Barangay Buli, the pilot area for the project, on Jan. 14.
The city government said it is different from the Muntinlupa Care Card. The Muntizen ID has wider reach as it will be the primary ID for city government services and is part of the digital transformation of Muntinlupa into a smart city, the city government explained.
“Malaking tulong ang Muntizen ID sa pag-access ng city services. Sa health centers pa lang, mas bibilis na ang proseso—hindi na paulit-ulit ang pagpirma at pag-fill out ng forms dahil may record na agad sa system. Mas maayos, mas mabilis, at mas organized ang serbisyo. (Muntizen ID is a great help in accessing city services. In health centers alone, the process will be faster—no more signing and filling out forms because there is already a record in the system. The service is smoother, faster, and more organized),” Biazon posted on Facebook.
The registration for the ID will be held in different barangays.
There are four types of Muntizen ID. The blue card for the general public valid for three years, white card for non-voter residents valid for a year, yellow card for senior citizens which has no expiration, and red card for persons with disabilities valid for five years.
Personal appearance is needed to register for the validation of documents and identity.
The registration is free for voter residents and those living in Muntinlupa for at least six months. There is a minimal processing fee for transients.
Minors aged six to 17 are required to be registered for the ID.
