Decomposing body found inside house in Rizal

Residents of Southville 9 in Barangay Pinugay, Baras, Rizal, were left horrified after discovering the decomposing body of their neighbor inside his own house on Wednesday, Jan. 14.

According to the Baras Municipal Police Station, a concerned citizen reported about a foul odor emanating from inside the victim's house, prompting them to ask for police assistance.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered the decomposing body of the victim identified as "Jeffrey," 41 years old.

One of Jeffrey's neighbors said his live-in partner asked her to check on the victim's condition after having no contact with him for several days. His neighbors added that they had not seen him for days prior to the discovery of his body.

The police had ruled out the possibility of foul play, as there were no signs of struggle inside Jeffrey's house.

"The personal belongings were intact, and the body was already in an advanced stage of decomposition. The relatives of the deceased declined the conduct of an autopsy, believing the death was due to natural causes," the police said.
