2 riders injured after being run over by MPV in Rizal

Two motorcycle riders were left hurt after being run over by a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) along Gen. Luna Street in Barangay Dulong Bayan 1, San Mateo, Rizal, early Wednesday morning, Jan. 14.

Based on the initial investigation, the two victims were onboard their motorcycle when its driver lost control of the vehicle after passing through an uneven part of the road, causing the motorcycle to slide.

The victims were subsequently run over by a silver Toyota Innova, which was following them before speeding away from the scene, leaving the injured riders in the middle of the road.

San Mateo Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) personnel brought the injured riders to the nearest hospital for urgent medical care.

Meanwhile, the police are currently on the hunt for the Innova's driver.
