The annual visit of the image of the Santo Niño to Pasay City marked the opening of the city’s yearly activities, highlighted by prayers, blessings, and a strong sense of unity among Pasayeño families.
Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, who was once again re-elected as Primera Hermana Mayor for the Feast of the Santo Niño, led the prayer of blessing.
Rubiano said the visit brings guidance and blessings not only to government activities but, most importantly, to every Pasayeño family.
She said the image of the Santísimo Nombre del Santo Niño Jesús arrived at the Pasay City Hall on Monday, Jan. 12, continuing a long-standing tradition that underscores faith, prayer, and communal solidarity.
The mayor announced that the annual Fiesta del Santo Niño will officially kick off on Jan. 15 at 4:00 p.m. This will be followed by an exhibition of various Santo Niño images from Jan. 16 to 23 at the Pasay City Cuneta Astrodome, open daily from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Rubiano invited the public to visit the Cuneta Astrodome to view the different images of the Santo Niño and to participate in the novena Mass held nightly at 7:00 p.m.
She also announced that the Grand Procession, scheduled on Jan. 26, will feature hundreds of Santo Niño statues carried through the streets of Pasay City in a vibrant display of faith and community spirit.
The procession will start at the Pasay City Hall and will proceed around the city up to the Manila boundary.
