A newly identified high-value individual (HVI) was arrested during an intelligence-driven operation that led to the seizure of P81.6 million worth of shabu in Pasay City on Tuesday, Jan. 13.
Pasay City Police chief Col. Joselito De Sesto identified the suspect as "Farhanie," 26, who was arrested at around 11:00 p.m. along Seaside Boulevard, Barangay 76, Pasay City.
De Sesto said operatives of Pasay City Police Substation 10 acted on an intelligence report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Group–Special Operations Unit 3 (PDEG-SOU 3) regarding a woman allegedly delivering illegal drugs in the area.
Police immediately proceeded to the location and arrest Farhanie.
Recovered from her were two green eco-bags containing six large heat-sealed vacuum packs of shabu weighing a total of 12 kilograms, with an estimated street value of P81.6 million.
The city police chief said the case was referred to the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), where the suspect was detained.
The confiscated shabu was submitted to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
